Junior Office Assistantapply now

Location: Cold Meece, Staffordshire

Requirements: This role would suit a junior (for example a school leaver), who is looking to expand on their skill set and experience. Previous experience in a similar role is not necessary as training will be available. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career in Office Administration.

The right candidate should have excellent IT skills, good quality administration and numeracy skills. The right candidate should also have strong communication skills and the confidence to communicate with a variety of staff and stakeholders at different levels of seniority.

The Role: The Junior Office Assistant will report directly to the Commercial Manager at Renown’s head office in Cold Meece, Staffordshire. This role will involve closely supporting the Commercial Manager with a variety of work including organisation and maintaining records of: training courses; payroll; management of vehicles (including trackers/insurance/fines/damage/fuel cards); and adhoc tasks as and when required. The Junior Office Assistant will also undertake administration work for Renown’s national depots and have a separate focus on collation of work hours with regard to fatigue management. In addition, the Junior Office Assistant will provide holiday cover to include the processing of weekly timesheets and orders, together with payroll and invoicing as and when required.

Location: Faversham, Kent

Renown Railway Services are recruiting for an experienced Operations Administrator, to work part time in our Faversham depot.

This role is 20 hours per week working Monday & Wednesday 8am - 4.30pm (with half an hour for lunch) , and Friday (working 8am - 12pm).

It is important to note that the Rail Operations Administrator will, at times, be working solitary in the office. Therefore, we are looking to recruit a candidate who is able to approach work confidently, and independently.

The ideal candidate will need to have good IT skills, be organised, have strong communication skills (both verbal and written) and have excellent time keeping. Previous experience in office administration is required. Experience of using all Microsoft packages is essential.

Duties will include but are not limited to: recording time sheets, passing on wages information, recording and monitoring of working hours, client forms, as well as ordering and controlling stock.

Due to the nature of the job, the right candidate must be local to area or at an easily commutable distance to the depot (Renown Rail Welding South, Unit 14, Upper Brents, Faversham, Kent).
